Florence, KY - Gerner & Kearns sponsored and participated in the American Heart Association 2019 Northern Kentucky HeartChase Saturday May 18 at Newport on the Levee for the second consecutive year. In 2018, the firm was the photo booth sponsor and this year got into the game as a checkpoint sponsor. David Gerner, Founder and Managing Partner served on the Executive Leadership Team and participated in the Executive Leadership Challenge raising over $3,800 and counting.
The AHA HeartChase is a unique one of a kind event and not your typical walk or run. It is a community adventure game commonly described as The Amazing Race meets Minute to Win It. Teams of 3 - 5 compete against other teams in a chase through Newport to complete as many checkpoint challenges and locate as many power up cards as they can in 2 hours. Game Advantage Cards can help teams get ahead and are distributed for fundraising achievements. The team with the most points at the end of the 2 hours wins. It is an engaging and interactive event for the whole family and all ages.
"We are happy to support this important cause and our fellow sponsors such as BB&T and Central Bank," says David. "It is the perfect opportunity for our firm to be involved in the local community and collaborate with other organizations to help reduce cardiovascular disease, which affects nearly half of American adults."
